[Phone] So everyone had a similar kind of dream, hmm? And a lot of people were taken in by it. You know, some say that dreams are like a window into your mind, but it's a little hard to think of them that way when someone else is messing around with them. I hope the people talked about in the newscast are all right...

on 2011-12-20 09:02 am (UTC)So if Mayfield told them all "things would be better if you never existed" how compelling was the 'truth' that they were presented, for them to agree to the devil's offer? Is truth really so constant that nothing could alter it, not even the disappearance of the fools who took the bait?

on 2011-12-23 11:47 am (UTC)Dreams are a lot less abstract from my perspective, but that is more or less because I never slept before coming here. Still, you make a point. People are more carefree and foolish in dreams, doing things they would not regularly wish to do in reality. And that makes them easier to manipulate. Interesting how the guardians of Mayfield never thought to do it before.
